Without Spot and Blameless

2 Peter 3:14 (NKJV)

Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless.”

God calls His people to live righteously because our lives are meant to reflect the holiness and character of the One who saved us. We are not made righteous by our good works, but because we have been saved by grace through faith, we should desire to live in obedience to Christ. As we look forward to the return of Jesus, Peter urges us to be diligent—to intentionally pursue a life that is pure, faithful, and pleasing to God. In a world filled with sin, compromise, and spiritual distraction, righteous living is both a testimony to others and an expression of our love for the Lord. One day we will stand before Christ, and therefore we should seek each day to walk in peace with God, obey His Word, and allow the Holy Spirit to shape us into the likeness of Jesus.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for saving me through the grace and righteousness of Jesus Christ. Help me to live a life that honors and pleases You. Give me strength to resist sin, remain faithful in a world that often rejects Your truth, and diligently pursue holiness in my thoughts, words, and actions. May my life be a testimony of Your transforming grace as I eagerly await the return of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Your servant in Christ,

Tom
