The Fullness of the Cross

Colossians 1:19-20 (NKJV)
For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, 20 and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.
Colossians 1 reveals the wonderful fulfillment of God's plan of salvation through Jesus Christ. In Christ, all the fullness of God dwelt, and through His death on the cross, God made a way to reconcile sinful humanity to Himself. The cross was not an accident or a last-minute solution; it was the fulfillment of God's promise to send the Messiah who would save His people from their sins. Jesus willingly shed His blood, satisfying the righteous demands of God's justice while demonstrating the fullness of God's love and mercy. Through Christ, those who were once separated from God because of sin can now be forgiven, restored, and brought into peace with Him. The promise of salvation that God revealed throughout Scripture was fulfilled in Jesus, the Messiah, who reconciles all who place their faith in Him.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your perfect plan of salvation and for sending Jesus Christ, the promised Messiah, to die for our sins. Thank You that through His blood on the cross, we can be forgiven, reconciled to You, and receive the gift of eternal life. Help us never to take the sacrifice of Jesus lightly, but to live each day with grateful hearts, faithful obedience, and confidence in the finished work of Christ. May we also share this message of reconciliation with those who are still separated from You. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Your servant in Christ,
Tom
