Striving for a Righteous Life

Philippians 2:15 (NKJV)
that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,
Philippians 2:15 calls believers to be “blameless and harmless, children of God” Face it - we live in a fallen world filled with sin, selfishness, deception, and darkness, yet God calls us to live differently. Striving for a righteous life does not mean that we will be perfect, but that we must daily surrender ourselves to Christ and seek to honor Him through our words, actions, and attitudes. When the world chooses compromise, we must choose obedience; when others embrace darkness, we must reflect the light of Christ. Our righteous living becomes a testimony to those around us and points others toward the hope found in Jesus.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, help me to live a life that honors You in the midst of an imperfect and sinful world. Give me the strength to resist compromise, remain faithful to Your Word, and shine as a light for Christ wherever I go. Forgive me when I fall short, and guide my heart, words, and actions so that others may see Your love and truth through me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Your servant in Christ,
Tom
