Matthew 6:34
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

As the world continues to spin in the galaxy and in concert with the other planets in our solar system, we too spin in the complexities of life. Though not as neatly and orderly as the solar system. Because our days are often filled with anxiety, worry and fear which only lead to chaos and depravity.

Unfortunately for the world, this is by design. Satan’s plan is to take over heaven and earth and all that is in it to include the throne of God. That’s what got him kicked out of heaven in the first place.

Yet, life in this world toils and spins out of control by the tools Satan is using to strike at our hearts and minds. He is implementing his plan, with God’s permission, to tempt people and bring fear and worry to every heart with things like, war and nuclear annihilation, famine and pestilences, social division, economic and infrastructural catastrophes, to name a few. Most of which we are facing at this very moment.

This may seem like Satan’s plan is playing out in his favor. But his demise will truly play out by the hand of God in the end. Therefore, Jesus told His disciples to stop worrying about things. Only God has control over the entire situation and what tomorrow brings.

My former boss while I was on Recruiting Duty once told me, “Don’t worry about the things you have no control over. Worrying over stuff you can’t control will only get you two things - ulcers and headaches.”

So, where do we go from here?

Well, if you are a Christian, do what is right in the sight of God. Trust Him in all things. Love Him with all your heart, mind, and soul. Spread the love of Christ by sharing the gospel. For many in this world will die in anxiety and worry. But more than that, they will die eternally separated from the presence and love of God.

Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.”

For the unbeliever, seek the Lord and repent. Come to Jesus in faith and accept His salvation – a gift freely given to all who believe that He is the Son of God, who shed His blood on a cross and died to forgive you all your sins, who was resurrected from the dead and made alive to offer you hope and a promise of eternal life.

Romans 10:10 “For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

It’s been said that 90 percent of what we worry about never comes to pass. Be watchful. Be concerned with what’s going on around you. But don’t be fooled and taken in by the game Satan is playing. Worrying about what may or may not come to pass is of no value to you.

If you know Jesus, you will know where you’ll go from here!
