Defending Yourself from Being Deceived and Devoured

Mark 13:22

For false christs and false prophets will rise and show signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

The days we are living in are and have been filled with lots of things that make our heads spin. We have lawlessness abounding in every major town and city, and even in quite neighborhoods. We see the corruption of governments and corporate America being engulfed in evilness.

We have been deceived for so long that we tend to believe everything the government says without question. And when we do question the authorities, we are cancelled and immediately shutdown.

It is clear and evident that we are in the last and final days, and the imminent return of Jesus. But until that day comes in the fulfillment of prophecy, this world will turn colder and colder against God and the godly. Deception and confusion will grow. Intimidation and fear will rule over the weak and faint-hearted causing even some of the elect to fall for Satan's tricks and lies.

So, how do we prepare and provide defense for the inevitable? Well, it starts with a relationship and security of the Savior, Jesus Christ. Then, we are to be equipped with God's word - the bible. The best defense we have at our disposal to ward off the lies and deceiving spirits, and to know and discern the truths from lies, is to know what God says in His holy word.

Satan will use apparently and seemingly wonderful speaking agents disguised as pastors and preachers to spread a false gospel. They will lead the Lord's sheep into the wilderness and through the wide gate that leads to destruction. They will have their reward for what they do.

Galatians 1:9 9 "As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed."

We may not be able to stop what God has already ordained for this world. If we could we would be interfering with God's plan. But we can be instruments of grace to help achieve God's plan for mankind by telling others about Jesus through the gospel, and help those who are falling and those who have hardened hearts to see and hear the absolute truth of Jesus that leads to salvation.

Let today be the day that you and I stand up and speak with the spirit of truth, so that some might be saved from the wrath that is soon coming to this world. If you are saved, stay secure in the word. Read your bible every day and pray for God's protection and wisdom so you can endure what comes your way.
